Fall Trends

With the fall months now among us, you’ll notice that accessories are displaying richer colors, such as topaz and peacock blue, while sporting bolder, more striking appearances. Look for these flashy styles and stronger tones to continue on through the upcoming winter and into the spring months.
 
While gold tones are bidding a comeback among metallic accessories, silver continues to reign as the market’s most popular color. Meanwhile, bursting upon the fashion scene is a dazzling new combination of teal and amber, coupled with green as its neutral base.
 
When selecting your accessories, it is important to understand which specific items will best complement your unique, personal style (and wardrobe). In other words, we are often enticed by trendy, new items that do not necessarily flatter our physical exteriors. Once you identify with the specific colors (including metals) that best cater to your style, it allows you to do what I call "getting more mileage out of your wardrobe."  
   
Purchasing items that you can wear over and over again vastly increases the "wearability" of your clothing. By simply changing an accessory, it often provides an outfit with an entirely new look, thereby cutting expenses otherwise spent on new clothing items. And in these dismal economic times, you may find that purchasing accessories, as opposed to clothing, is a sure-fire way to stretch your wardrobe budget.
